Hairstyles for Dirty Hair Days

We all have those day! Whether we wake up late for work or just don't feel like going through the whole getting ready process, we are here to help you look put together no matter the situation!

Try one of these great styles!

1. The Fishtail Braid

Mix up your usual braid with this unique style. A fishtail braid is perfect for keeping your hair out of your face while still looking stylish! To start, gather your hair at the nape of your neck and separate it into two parts. Then, take a small portion of hair from the outside of one section and pull it under the other section. Repeat on the other side and continue switching off until the remainder of the hair is braided. Just like with a regular braid, fishtail braids can be pulled to the side or even be made into pigtails.

Pro Tip: To keep pieces from falling out, spritz some light hairspray before and after styling to hold your hair in place!

2. The Messy Bun

The classic messy bun is quick and simple, yet also stylish and even popular among celebrities. Plus, the look can be achieved with just some bobby pins and hairspray. However, for girls with thick hair, containing your mane in a messy bun just using bobby pins can sometimes be tricky. If traditional bobby pins just aren’t enough, hair pins are perfect for creating a bun that will stay put all day and are super easy to use. To use, just gather hair at the nape of your neck and twist up into a low bun. Then, twist one spin pin into the top of the bun and another into the bottom for a fast fashion look. The pins even come in different colors to match your hair!

Pro Tip: To spice up your look, braid a section in the front of your hair and twist it into the bun or let a few face framing pieces hang loose to make your look more casual.

3. Side Bun

Buns are just way too easy. And if you gather the hair to the side and make either an elegant ballerina type bun or a messy bun like the one above, you can look clean, professional and put together. All you need to do is gather the hair to one side, create a low ponytail and then bobby pin the hair up as you wish to style it! This look can be worn with a headband, scarf, hat or even a bow to accessorize as you wish!

Pro Tip: Much like the messy bun, you can spice this up with braids or twists!

4. The Head Scarf

Now this is for the "when all else fails" type of hair day. Head Scarves are so pretty and can really make us look put together and fashionable without much effort at all. If you feel like your hair is overly greasy or just didn't dry quite right, a head scarf creates an easy fix to those problems!

Pro Tip: You can even heat up an iron and throw a few loose curls in there to create a real illusion on effort!!
